Microsoft, Commvault Deepen Alliance to Address Rising Enterprise Recovery and Security Challenges
As cyber threats become more sophisticated and organizations manage growing volumes of data across multiple platforms, Microsoft and Commvault are broadening their longstanding relationship through a new multi-year strategic agreement. The initiative is designed to help enterprises improve cyber resilience by combining data protection, cloud services and security capabilities into a more integrated offering. Microsoft will offer Commvault's extensive AI and cyber resilience technologies as a native ISV service on Microsoft Azure.
The partnership will center on strengthening customers' ability to secure critical information, recover quickly from disruptions and defend against evolving cyber risks. Building on existing integrations with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, the expanded collaboration seeks to simplify data management and resilience strategies for organizations operating across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. The collaboration will provide a unified experience across procurement, onboarding and operations, eliminating the need for separate infrastructure, manual integrations or external tooling for Commvault customers.
Commvault said the collaboration is intended to support customers managing increasingly complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Areas of focus include backup and recovery, ransomware preparedness and operational resilience, as organizations seek to safeguard business-critical information and maintain continuity during disruptions. Commvault's native ISV service on Azure is expected to enter public preview this summer.
