Microsoft Preps 6 Fixes for March Security Update
Microsoft's monthly security update will feature six items – one labeled "critical," four "important" and one moderate, according to the Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification.
Microsoft's March bulletin items will tackle seven vulnerabilities in Windows, Visual Studio and Expression Design.
The single item rated critical will address a remote code execution vulnerability in Windows 7, XP, Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
As for the four important items, two deal with elevation of privilege flaws in Windows and Visual Studio, one will take care of a Windows denial of service vulnerability and a fourth will tackle another remote code execution hole, this time in Microsoft's Expression Design.
Finally, Microsoft will be throwing in a rare moderate bulletin item that will take care of a denial of service error in Windows.
