Microsoft Refreshes SharePoint Design to Improve Consistency Across Microsoft 365

Microsoft is rolling out a refreshed visual design for SharePoint, introducing updates intended to create a more consistent user experience across Microsoft 365 applications and services.

The changes include updated navigation, refined page layouts, modernized visual elements and improvements to accessibility. The redesign is aimed at making SharePoint sites easier to use while aligning the platform more closely with the design language found across Teams, Outlook and other Microsoft 365 applications.

The visual refresh includes an updated canvas elevation, neutral themes for app surfaces, styling updates, easier navigation, clearer actions in the command bar and a more modern UI that is easy to scan, providing users with a new look they prefer without slowing down their workflow.

Microsoft said the update focuses on improving how users discover content, navigate sites and interact with information. The refreshed interface is designed to support both desktop and mobile experiences while maintaining compatibility with existing SharePoint content and workflows.
