Microsoft Adds Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 Model to Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft has made Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 model available in Microsoft 365 Copilot, broadening the selection of foundation models accessible through its enterprise AI platform. Available as a preview model, the update is designed to support longer, multi-step workflows. Admins can manage access to Claude Fable 5 (preview) based on their organization’s policies and readiness.
The addition gives organizations another option for AI-powered tasks within Microsoft 365 applications, including content creation, research, analysis and workflow support. Claude Fable 5 joins a growing ecosystem of models available through Microsoft’s AI offerings, reflecting the company’s multi-model approach to enterprise AI.
Microsoft said customers will be able to leverage the model within Copilot experiences while maintaining existing security, compliance and governance controls. The move is intended to provide greater flexibility for organizations evaluating different AI models for specific business use cases. Claude Fable 5 (preview) is now available as a default-off option in Copilot Cowork (Frontier), with private preview available today in Copilot in Excel and PowerPoint.
