Microsoft Teams Adds Video Recap Feature for Meeting Highlights
Microsoft has introduced a video recap feature in Teams designed to help users revisit key moments from recorded meetings. The feature identifies and surfaces highlights such as important discussions, decisions and action items. Users can navigate recordings more efficiently by jumping to relevant segments rather than reviewing entire meetings. The feature also creates narrated highlight videos from recorded meetings, offering users key takeaways that help summarize the most important points from discussions.
Video recap allows you to quickly see visuals that were presented, understand what was discussed without having to watch the entire recording, watch selected key moments and gain context through narrated visual highlights.
The recap capability is integrated into Teams meeting recordings and is intended to support users who need to catch up on missed meetings or review specific content. The feature builds on existing transcription and summarization tools within the platform. Organizations continue to rely on recorded meetings as part of hybrid work environments, but reviewing long sessions can be time-consuming. Video recap can be accessed for public preview via IT administrators who must enable the Show preview features in their update policy.
