Azure Introduces Network Security Hub to Centralize Protection Across Firewalls, WAF and DDoS
Microsoft has launched a new Network Security Hub, an enhanced experience that brings together Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF) and DDoS Protection under one unified interface. This hub will be useful to reflect feedback from customers who want to centrally manage, configure, and monitor all their network security tools with just a few clicks.
Key updates include:
- A unified portal entry point so users can discover and configure services like Azure Firewall, WAF and DDoS Protection more easily.
- A landing page that shows an overview of security services, key use cases, pricing, related documentation and deployment guidance.
- Step-by-step guidance on getting started with consolidated services for more meaningful options to choose from.
- Enhanced security coverage enables users to view which resources are protected and integrates with Azure Advisor to provide tailored recommendations for strengthening security and optimizing performance and cost.
What's not changing: pricing, marketing, support, policy deployment or how Hub Virtual Network / Secured Virtual Hub deployments work—these continue under familiar terms.
The Network Security hub expansion is part of a strategic effort to simplify and enhance the Azure Networking portfolio, aiming for customer-centric alignment and best industry practices. A cohesive, intuitive, and efficient product experience across Azure Networking is the ultimate goal.
