Microsoft 365 Copilot Adds Admin Controls, Custom Agents, and Privacy Tools in June Update
Microsoft’s June 2025 Microsoft 365 Copilot release introduced several enterprise-focused features, including new admin analytics, contextual support and customizable agents. Admins can now monitor usage with prompt categorization, track unified meeting recaps and manage AI agent access and spending limits directly from the Copilot admin center.
New end-user features include expanded Copilot memory, multimodal capabilities for image handling and OCR and the rollout of AI support across mobile apps, Edge, Excel and PowerPoint. Copilot Chat also gains more robust ContextIQ integration, enabling rich file attachments from Microsoft 365 services and third-party platforms.
Notably, Microsoft has launched Copilot Tuning -- a low-code tool that lets organizations train agents on their own data and workflows. Specialized agents such as Skills and "Analyst" are now available through a new Agent Store in Copilot Chat. Privacy-conscious features were also added to Copilot Vision, limiting data capture and requiring user opt-in -- an answer to earlier concerns about invasive AI tools.
