Executive Software Becomes Diskeeper Corp.

Executive Software changed its company name to the match name of its signature product, the popular Diskeeper disk defragmenter.

The 19-year-old, Burbank, Calif.-based company was founded in 1981 and released its first automatic defragmenter for Digital's Open VMS in 1986. The company branched out to cover Windows platforms and partnered with Microsoft to get a basic version of its defragmentation software included in the Windows operating system.

Diskeeper Corp.'s new Web site is www.diskeeper.com.
