Users of Shavlik Technologies’ security software solutions can now control all these applications through one graphical user interface with the release of NetChk Epicenter. The common command console allows system admins to scan several networks and applications simultaneously, address and fix multiple security issues in the same session, and integrate data among tools.

Aladdin announced the general availability of its Token Management System (TMS) 1.1 for deploying, provisioning and maintaining eToken user authentication devices. Integrated with Microsoft Active Directory, TMS supports a range of security applications including network logon, VPN, Web access, one-time password authentication, secure e-mail and data encryption.

Policy Commander from New Boundary Technologies seeks to address the increasingly complex compliance and security issues enterprises face today. Network admins and security personnel can manage instances of non-compliance in real time and apply security policies across any Windows server, desktop or laptop, all from a browser-based console for centralized policy administration.

Phoenix Technologies and Absolute Software have partnered to deliver a platform that secures PCs from boot to loot that deters theft and loss of remote computers. Phoenix’s TrustedCore Core System software secures the PC’s operation system before it boots while Computrace Computer Theft and Secure Asset Tracking solutions from Absolute enables tracking of stolen computers even if the hard drive has been reformatted, as well as the ability to delete computer data remotely. If the computer can’t be recovered within 60 days, Absolute provides up to $1,000 in reimbursement.,

Crossbeam Systems Inc. released a new application processing module for its X-Series security switches. Capable of delivering 4Gbps of firewall performance per module and up to 8Gbps of intrusion prevention and internal network security performance, the APM-8400 features dual Intel Xeon processors specifically designed for security and communications applications, and includes options for additional memory and 3DES encryption.

Entrust is adding several delivery methods to its Entelligence Messaging Server, a secure e-mail gateway appliance. Among the new additions include support for S/MIME and PGP, enhanced Web mail capabilities, and integration with Adobe LifeCycle Policy Server, which allows for conversion of e-mail to policy-protected .PDF documents. PGP and Web mail functionality will be available this summer, with the Adobe integration available later this year.
