NETDEPLOY GLOBAL 5.5 Manages Software Distribution

Upgrade adds SmartPull Distributor feature.

“SmartPull Distributor” is a key feature of NETDEPLOY GLOBAL 5.5, Open Software Associates’ newest release of its cross-platform software management solution. SmartPull permits rapid, reliable server-to-server software distribution, allowing enterprises to build multi-tier server hierarchies that mix “intelligent” distribution nodes and “dumb” deployment file servers. In addition, release 5.5 offers bandwidth throttling capabilities, allowing separate control of server-to-server distribution and server-to-client deployment.
