Intel Corp. introduced a 100 Mbps dual-port server NIC with an integrated encryption co-processor for slot-constrained or dense-server environments.

The Intelo PRO/100 S Dual Port Server Adapter supports server software for load balancing, fail over and teaming of the two Fast Ethernet ports on the NIC.

Intel is suggesting a retail price of $299 for the NIC, which will be available this quarter.

Intel also unveiled two mobile NICs with integrated encryption chips.
