Asante Ships 3rd Generation Gigabit Ethernet Adapters

Asante Technologies Inc. announced it is shipping GigaNix, its new Gigabit Ethernet adapters for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh systems.

The GigaNix adapters achieved throughput of 238.498 Mbits per second on a Pentium II 550 client and server. Macintosh systems’ network performance were also significantly enhanced.

Several GigaNix adapters, switches, and accessories are currently available.
