Maxtor Ships Highest Capacity 1U Network Storage Server

Maxtor Corp. has broken its own network storage capacity record with the introduction of its newest rackmount network storage server. Maxtor’s MaxAttach NAS 4000 now holds up to 320 GB of data in a 1U box.

The new MaxAttach NAS 4000 is compatible with Windows, Unix, and Linux clients. It can be remotely monitored through simple network management protocol (SNMP). All MaxAttach systems feature network status reporting, automatic e-mail alerts, RAID 1 mirroring for data protection, and a GUI that allows for shareable storage on the network with three steps to install and configure.
