Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Corp. released its 750-MHz AMD Duron processor for the value PC space. While the company has released faster processors in the past, the 750-MHz processor is the fastest of its kind designed for systems costing less than $1,000.

The processor features 192 KB of total on-chip cache; a high-speed 200-MHz front-side bus; and a superscalar floating point unit with enhanced 3Dnow! technology.
