Microsoft Application Center 2000 Goes to Beta 2

Microsoft's new server software for managing web farms gets one step closer to imminent release.

Microsoft has released a second beta of its upcoming Application Center 2000, a suite for building and managing high-availability Web application servers. The Application Center 2000 Beta 2 kit includes the beta CD and the Windows 2000 Advanced Server 120-day Evaluation CD.

You can download the beta or order it on CD (with the CD, you'll be charged shipping and handling) from Microsoft's Application Center 2000 Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/applicationcenter/prodinfo/beta.asp. The CD version includes a 120-day evaluation version of Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
