WinZip 8.0 Now Shipping

WinZip Computing Inc. released its WinZip 8.0 archiving and compression software. Version 8.0 contains several new enhancements.

The new Zip and E-mail feature zips documents and folders and attaches the .zip file to an e-mail message without leaving the Explorer. The enhanced Wizard can now create and update .zip files as well as extract and install from MIME and similar encoded files. Improvements to WinZip Classic give it a more intuitive graphical interface.

Internet file formats supported include Uuencode, BinHex, CAB, self-extracting CAB, TAR, gzip, and MIME.
