HP Bundles Storage Management Solutions with SureStore

Hewlett-Packard Co. announced that it will begin bundling Yosemite Technologies Inc.’s storage management software, TapeWare, with the HP SureStore family of DAT and DLT tape drives.

The bundled solution will provide additional support for the new HP One-Button Disaster Recovery (OBDR) feature, for integrated full-system restoration. HP's OBDR offers a fast, simple solution to return a server or desktop system to its normal operational state following a crash.

HP says that introducing TapeWare into its SureStore line offers a more complete backup solution for Windows NT and NetWare, as well as providing SureStore customers with the ability to back up Linux servers and workstations.

TapeWare will be offered through HP's extensive international network of resellers, and distributors.
