IBM Unveils New Marketing Management Package

IBM DecisionEdge for Campaign Management is a new software solution that allows marketing executives to pre-plan and manage multistep, multichannel marketing campaigns.

Based on customer responses and overall demographics and behaviors, marketers can then personalize the communication, ensure consistency and improve customer service, ultimately improving customer loyalty.

DecisionEdge for Campaign Management is a component of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, which would include other elements, including IBM servers and storage products. DecisionEdge for Campaign Management provides marketing executives a high-level view of customer relationships and the ability to evaluate campaign results effectively. The information is shared among all the company's functions, allowing consistent messaging through multiple offers via the customer's preferred channel.

In addition to the dialogue function, DecisionEdge for Campaign Management has a "closed loop" characteristic. The software sets rules to limit the number and type of concurrent campaigns a customer or prospect experiences in a given time frame.
