FastLane Announces Windows NT Server Consolidation Tool

FastLane Technologies Inc. today announced FastLane DM/Consolidator 2.0, a tool for Windows NT Server data consolidation. Consolidator 2.0 enables administrators to move massive amounts of data while preserving the Windows NT Server file structures and permissions, and allowing real-time user access to information during the migration process.

Consolidator 2.0 facilitates complete data movement projects, supporting data migration with partitions, as well as across partitions, workstations, domains, and across forests. It allows for improved enterprise performance with an automated data migration methodology, minimizing enterprise disruption by keeping data online during migrations. Other features of Consolidator 2.0 include remote console management, independent of server source and target location; remote software installation; scheduling functionality to preserve network bandwidth; and transparency between Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 users. FastLane DM/Consolidator 2.0 will be available during the fourth quarter of 1999.
