MS Project Add-ins Bow

Steelray Software announced it is shipping two add-ins -- one updated and one new -- for Microsoft Project.

The company's Steelray Project Analyzer is a schedule analysis and scorecard tool that plugs into the desktop versions of Microsoft Project. New features in the update include support for multiple data files, a criteria developer kit and the ability to export to Microsoft PowerPoint.

Meanwhile, Steelray Project Protector is a new security and access control solution for sharing Microsoft Project files. It works with Steelray Project Viewer, an application that lets users open, navigate. print and export Microsoft Project files, as well as view the information in them without requiring Microsoft Project, according to company statements.

Project Analyzer starts at $ 279.95 for a full license, which provides the user with all updates for a year. Project Protector begins at $54.90 for a full license, which includes Steelray Project Viewer. Current viewer licensees can upgrade to Project Protector starting at $19.95 for a single license.

Atlanta, Georgia-based Steelray updated Project Viewer in December to read Microsoft Project 2007 files, the company said.
