Commvault Expands Flex Platform with Hitachi Vantara and NetApp for Scalable Resilience

Commvault has expanded its Commvault Flex platform to support infrastructure from Hitachi Vantara and NetApp, broadening its reach across enterprise storage environments. The update enables organizations to deploy its data protection and cyber resilience capabilities on a wider range of hardware platforms. By supporting additional infrastructure vendors, Commvault aims to provide more flexibility for customers managing hybrid and multi-vendor environments. The exponential growth of AI-generated data further expands on the need for resilient but flexible solutions that can scale performance and capacity independently from traditional compute and storage.

Commvault Flex is designed to deliver backup, recovery and security capabilities as an integrated platform. The expanded support is intended to help organizations standardize data protection across different storage systems while maintaining consistent management and policy enforcement. Enterprises are increasingly operating across heterogeneous infrastructure environments, combining multiple storage vendors and cloud platforms. The Commvault Flex integration with Hitachi Vantara and NetApp is targeted for general availability in the summer of 2026.
