OneDrive on Mac Introduces Liquid Glass Design and New Activity Center
Microsoft has updated OneDrive on Mac with a redesigned interface featuring a Liquid Glass visual style and a rebuilt Activity Center. The refresh introduces a more modern look aligned with recent macOS design trends while improving usability and clarity for users managing files and sync activity. The new Activity Center provides better visibility into uploads, downloads, sharing actions and account status directly from the menu bar. Task dialogues are now Mac-native, with enhanced accessibility options including VoiceOver and Full Keyboard Access.
File synchronization transparency remains a key concern for enterprise and individual users alike, particularly in hybrid work environments where teams rely on real-time collaboration. With the redesign, Microsoft is focusing on both aesthetics and functionality. For IT teams and Mac users, the updated OneDrive client offers a more streamlined experience while maintaining enterprise controls and integration with Microsoft 365 collaboration workflows. The update is immediately available to the Insiders audience with build 26.017.
