Nerdio Manager for MSP Product Now Integrated with Microsoft Endpoint Manager

The Nerdio Manager for MSP (Managed Service Provider) 3.0 solution is now integrated with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), supporting the central management of customers' virtual and physical desktops by MSPs, according to a Tuesday Nerdio announcement.

The integration permits MSPs to manage virtual desktops that use Microsoft's Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 services, plus mobile devices and physical desktops via the Microsoft Intune device management solution within Microsoft Endpoint Manager. These management tasks all get carried out via the Nerdio Manager for MSP's software interface.

MSPs can use the integration to set policies for endpoints, including compliance policies. They can analyze the user experience and performance issues across virtual and physical desktops. Those capabilities are currently available in the integrated Nerdio Manager for MSP solution. A Remote Help capability is another feature addition to the integrated product that's expected to arrive a bit later.

Nerdio Manager for MSP, now integrated with MEM, gets installed from the Azure Marketplace as an Azure application. It's just for MSPs that provide multitenant management services for customers, such as managing their virtual desktops (and now physical desktops, too). There's also a Nerdio Manager for Enterprise product that designed for use by organizations. Both products are priced based on the number of users that are connected to Microsoft's services.

Nerdio has been a close partner with Microsoft on Microsoft's virtual desktop infrastructure (Azure Virtual Desktop) and desktop-as-a-service (Windows 365) offerings, which lets organizations remotely access desktops and applications from Microsoft's servers. The new integrated Nerdio Manager for MSP product now adds physical desktop management to that mix, which will help MSP partners, according to Scott Manchester, director of program management for Windows 365.

"We continue to be impressed by Nerdio's grasp on evolving IT needs and the future of virtual desktop, application and endpoint management," Manchester indicated, in a released statement. "We look forward to how this new integration will benefit managed service providers and help them progress in their cloud journeys."

Nerdio plans to augment the integrated product with Windows 365 Business API support coming this spring. Another addition will be the ability to manage Azure Virtual Desktop installed applications that use "FSLogix App Masking technology." Nerdio also is planning to certify MSPs and IT pros on Azure and Nerdio technologies.

Nerdio also announced that its free Cost Estimator tool will get updated, aiming "to reflect Microsoft's New Commerce Experience changes effective in March."

The New Commerce Experience is a program for Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider partners that kicked off last month. It aims to steer Microsoft cloud services customers toward annual contract commitments, instead of monthly ones.
