Winners of the Redmond 'Product of the Year' Awards Announced

The winners span 10 critical categories, from Microsoft Teams optimization, to Windows Server monitoring, to Active Directory data protection and more.

The 2023 winners of Redmond magazine's Product of the Year awards were announced on Tuesday.

After months of vetting nominations from software makers servicing the entirety of Microsoft's stack, Redmond's editors have singled out the 10 best products that promise to signficantly improve the management, security and administration of Microsoft environments large and small.

The IT landscape is at an inflection point. Products boasting AI and generative AI capabilities hit the market in a big way this year, bringing the power of Big Data out of the domain of data scientists and into the hands of everyday IT pros. At the same time, businesses are expecting their IT budgets to go further despite little growth, and their IT teams to accomplish more with fewer personnel and shorter timelines.

And on top of all that, cybersecurity threats to organizations' private and mission-critical data haven't slowed down. In fact, if current trends stay constant, 2023 will end up being the most expensive year in history in terms of ransomware payouts.

All of that is to say that today's IT pros have plenty on their plates -- and the tools they use to manage their businesses' infrastructures need to be up to the task.

This year's Product of the Year award winners deliver much-needed help to resource-strapped IT teams across 10 critical categories, from Microsoft Teams optimization, to Windows Server monitoring, to Active Directory data protection and more. With expertise, innovation and clear industry vision, the winning companies provide tried-and-true solutions to some of IT's biggest problems today.
