Gambit Releases SNMP Simulation for Enterprises

Gambit Communications, Inc., today announced the release of Version 4 of its Mimic SNMP agent simulator. Mimic allows enterprises, device vendors, management software developers, and outsourcers to demo, test, train and certify SNMP-based management applications without purchasing all the equipment and maintaining labs for those functions.

Mimic 4.0 features the ability to record, compile, and simulate up to two thousand SNMP-based devices from one workstation. It also features user-friendly wizards for importing new MIBs, recording large networks, creating device simulations and network topologies, and automatic script creation. Mimic also provides full support for SNMP V1, V2 and V3 as well as RMON1 and RMON2.
