A new year and a new set of cyberattacks have been unleashed - it may not be a coincidence as we pass the one-year anniversary since Russia’s 2022 attempted invasion to occupy the whole of the Ukraine. Has the long feared (by some) Global Russian Cyberwar finally arrived at our doorstep? Has this cyber war been outsourced to Russian aligned cyber-criminal gangs like “KillNet” or is this cybercriminal business as usual? How effective are the recently announced economic sanctions against members of Conti, Trickbot & Wizard Spider? How close is NATO to invoking article five considering relentless cyber-attacks on western healthcare and financial systems?
Armed with the latest cyber threat intelligence from Cyjax, Ian Thornton-Trump CD, will outline what he sees as a resurgence in Russian state sponsored or state condoned cyber-attacks and why there may be very turbulent times ahead as we head into Spring 2023.
