Top Security Threats with Microsoft Teams
Date: Friday, August 26th at 9 a.m. PT / 12 noon ET
Microsoft Teams. It’s probably part of your business life if you are using Microsoft 365 but the threat model of compromise remains far more existential than a “standalone” collaboration application if your creds get popped. There are arguments pro, against and agnostic – your users want something which *just works*- you need something that matches your threat models. Full integration into “All the Microsoft Things” presents unique challenges and opportunities in Azure AD and hybrid environments – security is a huge consideration.
Ian Thornton-Trump CD “man about town philanthropist and amateur dentist” as well as CISO for Cyjax reviews the greatest hits and more than a few security issues related to the Teams platform. You will have to join to the session to get his conclusions but suffice it to say – not all collaboration apps are created equal and there are risks you need to know about when considering Teams as your solution of choice.
