IT Training at the High School Level

An organized effort to train the next generation of network architects and systems administrators is taking place at high schools across the country. Microsoft has recently put significant financial backing into its IT Academy program, which provides Microsoft network training to accredited vocational schools, community colleges, universities and high schools.

George and Jeff Cole, father and son, helped to create and organize their own program at Jeff's local high school with locally available resources. In this interview with Senior Editor Keith Ward, George and Jeff Cole look back at their efforts and predict the program's and Jeff's future as an IT professional.
