Microsoft's developer-centric conference is wrapping up from Anaheim, Calif.., with the stars of the show being the unveiling of Windows 8, which takes Microsoft's OS interface in a drastically different direction. Also making waves was all the Windows Server 8 talk, with a large focus of its development placed on cloud optimizaton, while Azure and the next version of Visual Studio made their presences felt.

Windows 8 Details Unveiled at Build Event - In general, Microsoft officials describe Windows 8 as a 'reimagining' of its operating system, although the tile-based UI looks a lot like the one seen in the Windows Phone 7 mobile OS.
