Telecoms Get Help with New Service Provider Program
Microsoft Corp. announces new Communications Section Alliance Program to help telecoms drive new business.
Last week Microsoft Corp. announced the Communications Section Alliance Program
(CASP), a new initiative designed to "enable service providers to promote
and develop new customer solutions," according to the company.
The program, offered through the Microsoft Partner Solution Center (MPSC),
gives service providers access to Microsoft teams and other resources, creating
a collaborative development process.
So far, Bell Canada and Swisscom Mobile have signed up for the initiative.
"The goal of Microsoft Communications Sector Alliance Program and the
Microsoft Partner Solutions Center is to help providers maintain a competitive
edge and take full advantage of today's business opportunities," Jarmo
Paukkunen, director of the MPSC, said in a printed statement.
The
Microsoft Partner Solutions Center, launched in 2000, is a 21,000-square-foot
facility located in Redmond, Wash. According to Microsoft, it offers $100 million
in equipment resources, training facilities, meeting rooms and lab space.
