Titus Labs Updates E-mail Rights Management Tool

Titus Labs began shipping MessageRights version 2.5, which adds features that make it easier to deploy and use Microsoft’s Windows Rights Management Services (RMS).

“MessageRights 2.5 is designed to enable enterprises to effectively manage email, including the ability to restrict distribution of sensitive email,” according to a statement by the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada-based company.

Version 2.5 adds several new features, including “the ability to assign from a dynamic list of classification labels [that] are based on Active Directory group membership.”

Because the classification labels available to a user at any given time depend on their membership in Active Directory groups, users can attach project-based or case-based labels to their email for easy categorization. MessageRights also adds several new features for military users including the ability to classify attachments, apply declassification labels and restrict distribution based on clearance.
