Small Business Center Expands Offerings
Microsoft adds more resources and tools to its site for small-business customers.
To better help small-business customers with questions or problems regarding Microsoft
technology, Microsoft has added several new features to its
Microsoft
Small Business Web site. The move is in response to feedback the company solicited
from more than 20,000 customers through online surveys.
New options will offer users information and resources on security, the best
Microsoft solutions for their businesses, and ways to communicate with experts
and peers about their concerns. Highlights include:
- Security
Guidance Center: Provides tools to evaluate the security of your computing
environment through interactive modules, quizzes and questionnaires, and ways
to improve it with downloadable guides and tools to scan your stand-alone
and networked computers for malware and vulnerabilities.
- Solution
Advisor: An interactive tool that helps small businesses to identify the
Microsoft products that are best for them. Only available in select countries.
- Partner
Finder: A search engine that finds the best Microsoft technology consultants
for a small-business customer according to needs and geographical location.
- Online
forum: A bulletin board where small-business customers can discuss with
peers and Microsoft experts about their issues.
In addition to these new features, Microsoft plans to offer more interactive
content, including training videos on using Microsoft technology in business
management, and Microsoft Office 2003 templates.
Microsoft Small Business Center has localized information for 50 countries.
