PowerTCP Mail for .NET
Sure, the .NET Framework Class Library includes its own built-in support for
SMTP. But it doesn't offer the range of standards or support that you'll find
in the PowerTCP product. The product supports the full range of SMTP and POP
protocols, including encoding and decoding of attachments for both MIME and
non-MIME messages. It also includes a stream-based interface that lets you plug
in messages from many sources - for instance, it works perfectly well with .EML
files generated by other messaging products.
Other capabilities here include asynchronous mail sending with event notification,
command-level SMTP server interfaces, and the ability to create a single abstract
MessageStream object and then send it off to multiple recipients.
Dart has paid close attention to detail here as well. The help file is in the
new Visual Studio .NET format, and exhaustively documents the product interface
with many samples of usage. Sample projects cover VB NET, C#, and ASP.NET usage.
You even get forms for common purposes (like message viewing) that you can use
in your own projects. You can download a 30-day trial from Dart's web site if
you want a closer look before buying.
