Exams Confirmed for Developer Certifications
Microsoft acknowledges tidbits of information on three new developer exams at Professional Developer Conference in Los Angeles.
Microsoft is waiting until January 2002 to make official announcements regarding exams for its developer-based certification titles, including a new component developer certification. But Microsoft hasn't kept this information under wraps.
MCPmag.com has already detailed specific exams that are being developed; see "Developer Certifications Get Behind .NET" in News). And in unofficial confirmation that Microsoft is tacking in that direction, the company has distributed this week at its Professional Developer Conference in Los Angeles a poster entitled ".NET Developer Career Skills Roadmap." The poster matches up developer IT roles with Microsoft Press books and IT training courses and exams. The matrices show the following three exams, which are expected to be released next year:
