Managed Detection and Response services are the next level and perhaps even the apex of endpoint and network security with the goal of containing and eradicating a contagion before the damage is done.
Cyjax’s CISO Ian Thornton-Trump CD will address the key challenges of deployment, operation, and extension of MDR capabilities to remote endpoints in this rapid-fire Coffee Talk. The battle ground has always been the network – unauthorised traffic exfiltrating the organization - but, since digital transformation brought cloud services, hosted services and SaaS offerings and remote work, defending endpoints, and detecting anomalous network behaviour has never been harder to do. MDR or Soc as a Service (SocS) brings new capabilities for visibility, automation, and orchestration – all key components of a Zero Trust framework - to detect the dangerous and fix the dangerous – even if the origin is an insider threat. Having implemented and improved a 3rd party SOC offering during a recent contract engagement, Ian knows what the key areas to focus on are to achieve the business value of a MDR solution for your organization.
