Microsoft Fixes Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3

Microsoft today indicated that it has rereleased Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3, correcting a flaw.

The revised version, 14.03.0224.002, "corrects the issue which impacted users connecting to Exchange from Outlook," according to a footnote, dated December 12, in an Exchange team blog post. In other words, the update had caused Outlook and Exchange Server 2010 SP3 to fail to connect.

Microsoft had pulled this update on Wednesday, the day after it was released, telling organizations not to install it. Now, Microsoft is signaling that it is all clear to install Update Rollup 8. The issue had just affected Exchange Server 2010 SP3.
