Sanctuary Server Edition, a program for extending
application control on Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 Servers. With Sanctuary,
admins can grant access rights to users or user groups without them needing
to reboot or logoff; log all users’ requests for authorized or unauthorized
executable files; and manage the execution of VBScript, Microsoft Office VBA
and JavaScript. The solution also features support for Microsoft Active Directory
and can also automate the authorization of software installation packages, updates
and patches including native support of Windows Server Update Services and Software
Update Services.

EMC Corp. updated its Retrospect backup and recovery software
for Windows. With the latest version, Retrospect 7.5, users can restore
lost data via a Web browser, perform single-write/multiple-read backups to disk,
automated deployment of Windows clients through Microsoft SMS or Active Directory,
automatic login of Windows clients, offline backup verification, faster backups
of Windows File Servers, and more. Retrospect 7.5 supports both 32-bit and 64-bit
versions of Windows Server 2003 R2 and SQL Server 2005 as well as non-Microsoft

ThinPrint released the Second Edition of Remote Desktop Suite Standard,
a SMB solution for setting up a secure server-based computing architecture using

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system, enhances security for remote
access servers, IP/Sec and SSL VPNs, wireless access points, terminal services,

| Halo 2: Users now have one more
reason to upgrade to Vista. |
In unrelated news, Microsoft yesterday announced Halo 2 will
be coming to PCs but that it will only run on the upcoming Windows Vista
operating system. The PC version of the popular first-person shooter will include
the complete single-player campaign and multiplayer maps of the Xbox version
with content from the Multiplayer Map Pack as well as the addition of a map
editing tool. No release date has yet been set.
