Microsoft TechEd

Microsoft's TechEd 2004 conference is taking place this week in San Diego.

With more than 11,000 people at TechEd, Microsoft says attendance is up 22 percent compared to last year.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer kicked off the conference on Monday with a keynote. He unveiled a new toolset for Visual Studio to help developers and IT administrators work more closely together. (See story below).

Details about the next version of Internet Security & Acceleration Server 2004 are expected later this week.
