Heroix Expands Management Suite

Heroix Corp. this week extended a cross-platform infrastructure management suite to monitor new databases, a Web server and an operating system.

Version 1.2 of the Heroix eQ Management Suite went into general availability Tuesday.

The suite is designed to unify monitoring and management of Windows NT, Windows 2000, Unix and Linux.

Version 1.2 adds support for two databases -- IBM DB2 and Sybase.

The suite previously supported Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

In addition to monitoring and managing Microsoft Internet Information Server and the open-source Apache Web server, Heroix now also supports BEA WebLogic.

On the platform front, Heroix extended support for Compaq Tru64 Unix to the existing stable of supported Unix flavors -- Solaris, HP-UX and AIX.
