Report: Router and Remote Access Sales Up

Router sales grew $106 million to $1.48 billion and remote access sales grew $45 million to $616 million in the third quarter -- 8 percent growth quarter to quarter for both markets, according to a report released by The Dell'Oro Group (Portola Valley, Calif., www.delloro.com).

The report says that the router and remote access markets have been flat since early 1997 due to products transitioning from data-only devices to multi-service voice and data devices. The following are the router and remote access market leaders, according to the report:
