Microsoft's Training and Certification group has made it official: When the NT 5.0 exams appear, the two NT 3.51 exams -- 70-42: Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 3.51 and 70-43: Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Windows NT Server 3.51 -- will be retired. If your certification is affected, you can expect to hear from Microsoft six months before being de-certified (presuming they have your current contact information). You'll have a year after the retirement to take replacement exams from the core list for NT 4.0 or 5.0.
