This white paper is the result of a year-long initiative to better understand SharePoint governance perceptions, planning, and execution. The intent of this effort is to understand the state of SharePoint initiatives today, and to document best practices to the community. More than 1,000 SharePoint administrators & business professionals from around the world participated in this study. There were four phases to the research, with each phase focusing on one facet of governance: governance perceptions, governance roles and accountability, governance planning and organizational readiness.
