Free 70-240 Voucher Offer Ends Nov. 1

MCSE candidates who want to take the quick path to MCSE Windows 2000 recertification have less than a month to order the free voucher for the 70-240 Windows 2000 Accelerated exam.

The voucher is available from Microsoft and can only be ordered via the company's secured MCP Web site. MCPmag.com may seem to be repeating itself like a broken record, but the editors still receive e-mail queries about that exam and the free voucher.

Specifically, candidates qualify for the voucher by passing the NT 4.0 exams (70-067, NT 4.0 Server; 70-068 NT 4.0 Server in the Enterprise; and 70-073 NT 4.0 Workstation), which were retired Dec. 31, 2000. Microsoft hasn't made any attempts to directly contact all testers who passed these exams outside of announcing this offer on its MCP Web site and numerous subscriber newsletters.

To find out how to order the voucher, go to http://www.microsoft.com/trainingandservices/default.asp?

AH!!!! I just read this article about must have a voucher issue! I alreday register the exam on Dec. and testing center said, "u can just walk-in with $100 exam fee, it's ok if you don't have voucher."
Someone can help to confirm this for me? thanks.

Because of problems I forgot to order my voucher by the deadline.
I contacted the MCP hotline a week ago who said they would order it for me.
Still not received it.
Has anyone else done this ??

I've passed 4 MCP exams under NT4.0... I feel its really unfair of Microsoft to time restrict the issue of the free vouchers. I bet a lot of ppl will miss out because of this. Also, they definatly should allow for the exam to be taken at any time, and not just limited to the end of the year...
Why is this? bet its coz of their need to sell us into having to get (yet another) variation of certification with XP for 2002.

I have paid a dear price to become certified with microsoft not to mention the 11,000.00 I paid to recieve training from a good school when I jumped in cold to learn NT4.0. I am currently heavily involved in CISCO so their certifications come first currently. I legitamately need more time. I simply cant do both tracks right now. They should follow cisco's pattern. I feel this is why Cisco is more respected in the industry. Just ask the people that pay my salary within EDS.

some employers do not know whether to move to Win2k. NT 4 will still be around for some time to come. The voucher scheme , commendable as it is, should be extended indefinatley. I will not upgrade until there is a solid demand for it. And I see immediate benefits.

I've registered and used 3 different user names and 3 different passwords.
When I attempt to login , I consistently receive a message about entering a valid password.
According to your emails, the passwords and corresponding unames would be valid, no?
How in the world is one supposed to request, and if lucky, receive a voucher for the 240??????
