Interop Systems released Interop Secure Shell, a solution for running secure client and server console and file transfer sessions between Windows, Unix and Linux systems. Interop Secure Shell builds on the new Windows Subsystem for Unix-Based Applications (SUA) available with R2. Xiotech Corp. announced that it has certified VMware ESX Server for use with its Magnitude 3D network storage systems. The combination of Magnitude 3D tiered storage systems with VMware ESX Server enables midsized enterprises to deploy a fully virtualized storage and server environment. VMware ESX Server 2.5 currently is certified with Magnitude 3D 1000e, 1000s, 3000e and 3000s systems. VMware ESX Server 3.0 is expected to become available in the second quarter of 2006, and Xiotech plans on fully supporting VMware ESX Server 3.0 shortly after it becomes available. http://www.xiotech.com

Entuity Inc. recently released version 4.5 of its network management suite, Eye of the Storm. The latest version is able to discover and control firewalls, servers, hosts and VPN gateways.
