Here's one way to free IT training: Subscribe to TechNet Plus and Microsoft will throw in four free e-learning courses. For a limited time, Microsoft is providing the following courseware:

  • 2009: Upgrading Your Skills from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange Server 2003
  • 2208: Updating Support Skills from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows Server 2003
  • 2283: Migrating from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows Server 2003
  • 2830: Designing Security for Microsoft Networks

The courseware is valued at $349US each; a TechNet subscription retails for $799, but with a current discount offer of 30 percent, the subscription can be obtainied for only $559. The TechNet subscription also contains fully enabled evaluation versions of Microsoft Office System and Windows Server System software.

Plus allows most software technet related (Server, Office, Exchange etc) as an unlimited time trial. Very useful as you don't have to worry about it expiring before you finished playing with it.

Certified Partners do receive a set of TechNet Standard media. However TechNet Plus has additional features & benefits.

I do believe TechNet Plus is still one of the benefits of the Certified Partner program.

Wasn't the Technet Plus subscription built in as part of the Certified Partner program a couple of years ago? I am surprised that it's not now.
