Free MCP Exam for Military Personnel

Microsoft partners up to offer free exam voucher to military personnel; limited time offer.

Microsoft and a few of its partners are funding a pilot program that offers U.S. active-duty and reserve military and National Guard members to take a Microsoft Certified Professional exam for free.

The DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) Certification Program, which funds the program, provides one free exam voucher for any MCP exam, which can be used at any Pearson Vue testing center worldwide.

Eligible military personnel are advised to sign up for the program through the DANTES Certification Program Web site, in order to find out if they qualify for the voucher. Registration into the program should also be done prior to scheduling an exam, in order to obtain the electronic voucher code.

The Microsoft Pilot Test Voucher Initiative actually began November 1, 2004, but the program will run its course through November 1, 2006. According to the DANTES Web site, there are also a limited number of vouchers that will be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The free voucher has a shelf life of two years from the date of issue.

I think Iraki kids, who are NOT responsible for nothing (even if their parents were killers, wich is not proven) would have to be reimbursed. But I think that the free voucher from Microsoft will come with a lower testing key, you know, military people are not that smart :)

I think the Iraqi kids who lost their families by cluster bombs, Uranium active, random shooting, kill them all by the Mother of all BOMBS should have some Free vouchers too.

thank you

How about extending the offer to honorably discharged vets?

Why not make this available for the retired military members also. We also participated in the Gulf War and other campaigns. Can you not do the same for us.

maybe they should offer this to honnorably discharged vets as well .. that would be great!

Sure, now that I am retired, and paid out of pocket for the last 15 exams, they come out with this program. Story of my life in the military. Missed every reenlistment bonus, and now this.
