I took the exam. It was EASY. The "certified" people who pass this exam will be qualified to run any wizard on the SBS server -- that's it. On the beta exam you can leave comments on each question. I left over 30 of the 90 questions; most were for spelling errors, multiple correct answers, and for blatently easy questions. There were some that said choose two of four and two of them were easily discarded.

This has been impossible to register for here in Tucson because we are down to only 2 locations offering tests only one day a week each! This is not the kind of access we need to get to test the real ones, let alone the betas. Vue and Prometric should get tough with these testing centers and tell them that they need to be able to offer a test at anytime during normal business hours Monday-Friday. I cannot imagine that these places are closed 6 days a week and still stay in business.

Hey, rather than argue about it, will you please sign up for the beta 71-282 and take it! Lets capitalize on MSFT's efforts to move deeper into the SMB space. There are rumors that Microsoft is watching this exam closely to see if there is interest. You can still sign up for Sunday the 5th as of this time I am writing this post. Please do! Thanks.

Anonymous from UK, I'm going to disagree partially (because, you are indeed right to an extent). The guide makes it clear in every section of the objectives that architecting a network has to be mastered within the confines imposed by SBS 2003. To hear some SBSers, that's how they also view this exam -- it's one that's targeted at them.

Also: If you look at how 282 is positioned within the certifications, it only rates an elective. I believe that has much to do with the scope of the exam. Otherwise, it'd sub for one of the other core options under the MCSA or MCSE.

Your are misleading readers by calling 71-282 and SBS 2003 Exam. This is not an exam about SBS. As the title of the exam says it is about deploying solutions in small and medium sized networks in which SBS only plays a part. Reading the exam prep guide makes it abundantly clear that this exam much more than just SBS2003
